Kestrel

95.00

One of Ireland’s more common birds of prey, Kestrels are most often seen hovering along motorway banks in search of mice. Usually found nesting on cliff or quarry faces, they will also use holes in trees such as this one in a huge old Chestnut tree in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. I photographed these chicks (under licence) in July 2010 and am pleased to say that all five fledged successfully.
